Waterway debris to be removed from river
The Florida Department of Environmental Protection has started removing debris related to **Hurricane Matthew from the St. Johns River.** Contractors began along the Julington Creek shoreline and will continue working south to remove and dispose of vegetative and structural debris in the waterway.
The contractor will only remove debris in the river, and it must be related to Hurricane Matthew. Debris located on or attached to private property will not be removed.
