George Sass, Boat Digest – May 2005
“The first Altima to hit North American waters was the Altima 55. I was a fan of this boat and impressed by its overall running characteristics. In fact, an editor that I sent out to test a late model 55 called me afterwards raving about how the boat shrugged off some sloppy conditions, and was a solid performer

Natalie Friton, PassageMaker Magazine – April 2005
“Important features they were seeking in what they planned to be their last vessel included a walk around deck, a spacious cockpit, a covered bridge accessed by stairs (not a ladder), a day head and three staterooms designed so that one could double as an office….By focusing on great customer service while producing quality yachts for an expanding fleet of owners, the company (Altima Yachts) is succeeding at making dreams come true.

Altima 55 2003

Immediately upon entering the cabin, you have the feeling of space not usually found on a 55′ yacht of this style. The elegant interior is finished in a gloss Cherry wood with Burl inlays and decorated beautifully. It has features like an on deck head, very large flybridge, three starerooms and a huge flybridge with a wonderfully designed stairway for easy access. The engineering and mechanical systems will impress even the most demanding owner and it is set up with the cruising couple in mind.

Walkthrough

The main Deck level has entry into the Salon through the aft stainless steel sliding door. There is a day head and an L shaped sitting area to starboard ,the entertainment center with updated custom chair to port. Forward of the Salon, two steps up are the Galley and Pilothouse. Watertight doors to Starboard and Port lead into the Pilothouse with dining area. Down from the pilothouse are the VIP Stateroom Forward and office/guest stateroom to port. A spacious full beam Master stateroom with inset. Head is aft.

The U shaped Galley on the Pilothouse level features Granite counters, FULL Size Appliances and opens fore and aft, so the cook won’t be left out.

The flying Bridge has easy stairs from either the pilot house or the cockpit. This Altima’s Fly Bridge also has dual Helm chairs, Flat Screen Monitors, summer kitchen and Settee.

The boat deck handles an 800 pound extension-able crane and a 11′ Rib.
