Freedom Boat Club and BoatUS Foundation have joined together to offer On the Water Training. Whether you love boating and want to gain confidence at the helm, or you want to learn new boating skills, this program is a fun, easy and affordable way to develop your sea legs. There is also a special course, just for women! Women Making Waves is a small, women-only course that is captained by a U.S. Coast Guard certified female captain.

The courses will be offered March 30 and March 31 out of Julington Creek Marina at 12807 San Jose Blvd. Each course is three hours and will give participants hands-on experience at the helm of a 21-foot powerboat. You will learn shifting and steering, basic docking, open water handling and basic navigation. Boaters must be 21 years of age or older. Space is limited, so register today at http://connect.boatus.org/site/Calendar?id=100181&view=Detail.

Freedom Boat Club, the world’s oldest and largest boat club with 25,000+ members in 30 states and Canada, is pleased to work with BoatUS Foundation in an exciting training capacity. During each three-hour course, you will gain hands-on experience in the following skills at the helm of a 21-foot powerboat.
