S/V Stella Maris

50’ catamaran custom built in South Africa with a design based on the Royal Cape. Her theme is safety and simplicity. For safety, she is built solid with fiberglass over plywood and 3’ railings/netting around the entire boat. She sailed from South Africa to Grenada and after breaking her mooring and going ashore sustained minor damage which was professionally repaired better than new. She has sailed the Caribbean and the East Coast since. For simplicity, she is incredibly functional and easy to maintain. She has ample storage, easy access to all systems, full size galley appliances, washer/dryer, and remote- controlled dinghy/swim platform. Massive solar (2.9kW) and batteries (1.7kAh) provide all the power you need. Only used the generator a handful of times. With 5 cabins, 5 heads, office and laundry she easily accommodates a large family and even guests.
