"SURFBIRD” is a 44′ double ended centerboard ketch designed and built by Ralph Wiley in 1956 at Oxford, MD (now Cutts & Case). Mahogany strip planked hull, decks & cabin tops w/ monel fastenings. Her hull was fully restored by the Cutts Method. A new Yanmar 75 hp turbo diesel was installed w/ low hours on her at this time. She is a very fast sailor, capable of 10 plus knots. Her cockpit is VERY DEEP, which is a "BEAUTIFUL THING" when offshore. She has been cruised in the Chesapeake spring and fall, and Martha’s Vineyard in the summer. Owner health requires sale. "SURFBIRD " does need her decks repaired, thus the recent price reduction. The owner is OPEN TO OFFERS.
