New Dufour-Charterbase at Real Club Nautico in Palma de Mallorca

Dear Boats and Shore Readers and colleagues and sailing enthusiasts,

Please allow us to introduce ourselves. After having worked in the charter business for many years we, Gerton Bijlholt and Judith Poorting, are starting our own charterbase „Charter Del Mar“ (www.charterdelmar.com) from season 2014. You can find us at a top location with excellent infrastructure and with our own office, workshop and stockroom on Mallorca at Real Club Nautico Palma.

Our fleet consists of five new (2014 models) Dufour Grand Large sailing yachts ranging from 33 up to 50 feet as well as one Bavaria 50 (2013 model) with five cabins. All our Dufours are thoroughly equipped with a full batted mainsail (one 410 with furling mainsail available), the larger ones with electric winches and all of them are fitted with a gennaker.

any functional and convenient features speak for our ships – for instance, already from the smallest 335 model you can enjoy the luxury of a spacious cockpit with a proper table and two steering wheels, retractable bow thruster, heating and a lot of stowage room.

The cockpit on the 410 and 500 models can be easily converted into a large lounge to relax. Not only a big swimming platform is standardly present, also on many other practical details no compromises were made. All ships are equipped with a 12V – 220V converter which allows you to charge your electronic devices as well as to use the Nespresso coffee maker, installed on all ships, even whilst being anchored and without shore power.

The Dufour 500 enjoys the luxury of having an extra refrigerator fitted inside the cockpit table which saves you from having to go belowdecks into the kitchen again. Furthermore our current flagship disposes of a gas grill (hot plate) integrated in the stern for those cozy grilling parties. The other models avail of the possibility to install a seperate grill on the ship’s stern railing. All yachts have a large stowage compartment in the salon-bilge ideally to store provisions, wine bottles, water, etc. or even a shoe rack.

The credo of our fleet is: Modern, functional, comfortable and sporty. Next to first class maintenance and new ships, our goal is to always exceed our customers’ expectations and to go the extra mile.
