Help start up a solar powered ferry on the Hudson

I have a beautiful 47′ electric boat that would make and excellent solar powered passenger ferry on the Hudson River. Ferry tourists, antique seekers, etc. from the East (AMTRAK) side of the river to the West side, e.g. Hudson to Athens/Coxsackie. Vessel could also be used for sightseeing and eco-tours. It’s clean, comfortable and quiet!

About the boat: Electra was built in Rhode Island using the hull design of an early 1900s steam launch. It is powered by two 48V Advanced DC motors. With the addition of PV panels on the expansive flat roof there would be no need for recharging the batteries with shore power. Completely self-contained.

The hull and decks are fiberglas and the cabins, which would probably be reconfigured from the current houseboat arrangment are wood.

I am seriously interested in partnering to make the solar ferry a reality. I’m also willing to sell the boat outright.

Contact me if you are seriously interested and I’ll provide photos and more information.
