Canvas & Upholstery Technician. Thunderbolt Marine Inc. is a full service refit and repair facility dedicated to delivering the highest standards and exceeding the expectations of clientele with vessels of all sizes. Conveniently located on the Wilmington River in Thunderbolt, Georgia.

Summary: Under minimal supervision fabricate and install upholstery, cover panels, and make simple patterns interiors using design drawings and specifications.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
*Works under general supervision to fabricate cover and install panels and head liners.
*Sews simple covers.
*Work with fabric, vinyl and leather hides, composites and other materials using specified adhesives, sewing equipment, hardware, hand tools and various power tools.
*Fit panels, head liners, sidewalls, hatch panels, windows, cut and surge carpets, cover bulkheads, and covering and installation of panels.
*Read blueprints
*Replaces or repairs worn or damaged parts in machinery
*Perform other tasks and work as directed by the supervisor.

Qualifications: Knowledge of upholstery techniques. Knowledge of tools, equipment and materials common to the upholstery trade. Able to operate a sewing machine, comprehend blueprints, sketches and templates.
