Fishing Report 1/20/16

**The cold has finally arrived** and the fishing
is good across North Florida. Gusty winds
and big seas have been protecting the

Wahoo population offshore for most of January with some
**welcome** weather windows finally opening recently.

**Offshore** trollers are finding some formidable Wahoo
and an occaisional mahi. Bottom fishing is excellent
with good catches of vermillion snapper triggerfish and
some mutton snapper in the 21 fathom area.
Closer in Seabass have been cooperative and
some local structure is holding oversized redfish as well.

**Inshore** the whiting bite has picked up along the ICW. Black drum and sheepshead
have been cooperative under bridges and docks. Bluefish have swarmed area inlets
and are present almost everywhere to the delight of local tackle dealers.
Redfish are generally on the small side of legal.

**Tight lines and take a kid fishing!**
