**Finally the ocean is opening windows for offshore anglers
as winds subside this week. Recently Captain Jason with J Hook Charters out of St Augustine found
some mahi blackfin tunas and wahoo on the troll with a tasty cooler of bottom dwellers as well.
Distant wrecks and reefs are holding amberjacks and cobias and other usual suspects including vermillions genuine Red Snapper and triggers.
Look for sea bass to be on the scene on nearshore structure if the
water ever cools! Oversize redfish are haunting some spots now.
Inshore the bite has been outstanding despite
mother nature. Excellent catches of trout and reds are made up of generally smaller
fish now, with some good fish mixed in. Black drum are around but also running on the small side. Whiting and
bluefish are cooperating in the surf. Sheepshead are chewing crabs and mussels among
inshore barnacled structure including docks bridges and Jetties.
Tight Lines Take a kid fishing!!
