It all started on the Bering Sea, one of the most intense patches of ocean on Earth, where strong winds, freezing temperatures, and icy water are the norm. It was here that a 34 foot fishing boat designed by legendary naval architect Lynn Senour earned a hard-won reputation for its superior seakeeping performance, spawning a pedigree that would pass to a new generation of trawlers.
In late 1999, a team of three industry veterans partnered with Senour to form Tomco Marine Group. Their mission: To design top-of-the-line pleasure craft based on the rugged, reliable hulls used in the Alaska salmon fishery. Leveraging their combined experience they created the American Tug (AT 34/36): a perfect couple’s cruiser based on Senour’s original 34 foot fishing boat design. The American Tug provides an unprecedented combination of comfort, craftsmanship and seaworthiness.
