Price Reduced to $59,000! On a mooring in Newport and available for inspection
The vessel has been extensively cared for since the late 1980s which includes a full restoration of her hull and topsides, as well as a complete rebuild of her original Grey Marine engine. Since the original restoration, the boat has been maintained by the professionals at the Newport Shipyard and the dedicated students at IRYS here in Newport.
Her completed work includes refinishing of her surfaces down to the mahogany, repairs to any rotted infrastructure including many new planks, new electronic systems including a full rewiring and many other projects. Both superstructures and cosmetic work have been expertly done and make her decidedly worth viewing because Charlie is a fine example of a pre-war wooden Picnic Boat built by Wicks Bros. Boats in Amityville, Long Island during 1931.
The vessel has a rich history that WoodenBoat.com researched and compiled to help commemorate her storied past. The full article can be accessed further in the description.
